Kaspersky Removes Adsense Advertisements
Social April 30th, 2007
Kaspersky Internet Security removes adsense advertisements from user’s browser. Google’s adsense is harmless and it is not annoying like popups. Kaspersky is preventing webmasters to earn money from their website, I am protesting Kaspersky. Google and Webmasters must take an action to this. Protest Kaspersky !
You may use these two logo to protest Kaspersky !

I hate Kaspersky! You can’t find any antivirus software like this stupid one. They probably don’t like Google Inc. They may sign an agreement with Micro$oft or Yahoo not to show AdSense? Btw, anti-Kaspersky icon may be more smooth and nice
“Anti-Kaspersky” string with red font can’t be read properly…

hmm yes you are definetely right, probably they signed an agreement with opponents of google, and thx for you ideas I’ll make modifications on the logo asap. Thx for the comment.

i gues, you don´t have the ability to configure it right!!
what do you think, why Kaspersky is one of the best security softwares in the world !???!
the fact that there are some user who can´t handle it is not the reason

No, there are some options to disable it, but the idea is wrong, adsense is harmless , why you should disable some options to see adsense? By the way before 1 year or so, Kaspersky was nice and one of the best security softwares.
But after all the reason why ppl migrated from Norton to Kaspersky is that the speed.Kaspersky is much more light and fast than norton. But nowadays Nod32 is going good, so in my personal opinion Nod32 will be more popular than Kaspersky…

Of course Kaspersky has no agreements with anyone for not blocking advertisements.
By the way, will you also help TV stations protesting against manufacturers of TV sets? I have heard that many TV sets are delivered with a possibility to switch them off when commercials are broadcasted!

1. It is not a help
2. TV channels or any other broadcasts is not in the scope and vision of this website
3. Your point of view in this subject is pointless
You should better understand adsense and its logic.
Otherwise it is meaningless to discuss it with you.

Yes, Burak Ozdemir, i agree with you that Kaspersky shouldn’t block Google ads by default. Therefore i have written a guide how to unblock Google ads in Kaspersky: http://www.thewebscripter.com/tutorial/articles/kaspersky_blocks_adsense.php
Furthermore, i have noticed something “funny” with Kaspersky, i.e., Kaspersky advertised itself in Google AdWords, and the ad appeared in AdSense!!! If Kaspersky is not trusting AdSense, why has it advertised in AdWords in the first place? Funny huh?

Kaspersky absolutely rules.
Forget webmasters.
There are many of us, in countires outside those rich crappy United States, who have limited bandwidth. Kaspersky takes a good measure by blocking them.

I respect your point of view, but what if you forget the webmasters ?
Will there be something called “Internet” ?
Think twice …

This is hilarious, and a symptom of our times. All Kaspersky are doing are giving users choices. Some of us want the choice to not see ANY ads. You protest that people are given the means to do as they wish with their own computers!
And of course, like all businesses that are threatened by new technology and new user awareness, you object that without yourself, the world would be much worse off. But where value exists, it does not go away because the initial technology is phased out as unwanted. Webmasters will continue to publish, the world wide web will continue to work just fine. Perhaps a blog or two that exists merely to add money to the authors wallet without effort would stop, but really, no big loss.

As I said above :
“No, there are some options to disable it, but the idea is wrong, adsense is harmless”…
I hope I got your attention to the right point.

Hey, I’m a webmaster, I use Google Ads, and I use Kaspersky.
And I have absouletely no problems.
Kaspersky is THE best antivirus on earth.
July 13th, 2008 at 4:01 am
What you mean by no problem ?
Are you saying Blocking Adsense Ads is not a problem ?
Of course it is not the best anti virus on earth
We know there are better ones…
July 14th, 2008 at 4:28 am
Yes it is.
Tell me a better security solution.
I have AdSense ads, and by default Kaspersky does NOT black ads, Kaspersky blocks Ads only in IE if Web AV is on, and if Parental Control is on.
July 14th, 2008 at 8:10 am
Nod32 is way more better and lightweight, also antivir is an option and it is free.
By Default install it is blocking the Google Ads, that is where I ‘m pointing it…
July 15th, 2008 at 7:53 am
Kaspersky is the best.
All revies say that.
Even I say that.
And mine does not block it by default.

Ads are obviously not “harmless” when some users don’t want to see them. You have no right to force users to see your ads, no matter how little harm *you* feel it does them.
The future is filtered and ad-free. Thank god.
